Empties #1 - Products I've Used Up !

You may and most likely have seen an empties post before. I know the first one I've ever seen was by EssieButton, and since I've seen loads, both on blogs and on youtube. And I LOVE them! I love hauls as much as the next person, but empties are more mini honest reviews, because you have to put up with the product till its all gone. So you may learn to love something at first you weren't so keen on or the opposite and absolutely loathe it.

(Some Pictures are bit shadowy because I took them at night with no extra lighting, because the lighting was really washed out during the day .. blah blah blah excuses *sigh* )
This product I had never heard of before. I found it in my local pharmacy at a really decent price, and after hearing a lot of talk that tea tree oils are great for your skin, I decided to give it a go. Its a scrub so it has those little pearls that are supposed to exfoiliate your skin, and it claims to refresh and cleanse. Unfortunately  it did absolutely nothing for me. Its not a bad product, it just didn't do any wonders. So it won't be repurchased, and I'll be on the hunt again.
From Top L-R. Starlyte Rose Garden, Starlyte Strawberry and cream, Primark Lotus Flower, Yankee Candle Strawberry Buttercream, Starlyte Mango and Peach
I'm love with candles, and this entire summer, there wasn't a day that went by that I didn't have a candle burning. These are all from different companys, but they are pretty much the same as for quality. The Yankee candle does stand out as the best though, and for that it is the most expensive and has the longest lasting quality. The primark one was the least best because they only had one scent I liked, but I've recently gone in and seen that they've added new scents and got rid of some of the old ones, so I'll try them out as they are really inexpensive. Maybe I should switch to getting the bigger jars so I won't go through them as quickly.
This is the first powder I'd ever used (not this exact one). My mum used it and so when I started wearing makeup, (not so long ago actually) I just imitated her. I liked it, I still like it but I like other powders better now. It has a pretty heavy coverage and on top of foundation it can look a bit cakey. I prefer the Mac Skin Mineralise Finish, better for wearing over foundation. It was in a recent Wishlist but i explained hy there so check it out !

The two bronzing powders above are pretty much the exact same, one is just smaller. I liked these a lot actually and will definitely repurchasing the smaller one. The downside to the big one is that its just not portable, but it lasts a really long. It's a really good bronzer through and through and reliable and will be the one I'll always go back to, till I find something better. I can't remember what price it was but it is a bit pricey as are some Isadora bits.

These were two samples from inglot, A powder (loose) and a foundation (AMC). Firstly I hate the sample packaging. How are you supposed to get the product out? Obviously its possibly, but it's just not ideal. The products themselves didn't win me over, nothing great about them so I won't be getting them. The foundation as pretty light feel, but then it didn't give much coverage. The powder too was light (feel and coverage) which I did like, because it was ideal to use as a finishing powder, so I may give it a whirl but it didn't have me raving that's all. Inglot do great eyeshadows though so I love them for that, but I'll pass on their foundation.

I've mentioned this product before in a favourites, so you already know how I feel about it. I got it as a present and didn't use it till this summer and I loved it soo much I repurchased the bigger bottle. The only downside to this is that I feel I can only use it in summer, maybe it's just a preference thing. I associate fruity scents with summer, and more musky with autumn. So I love it for summer and not anytime else.
I love smelling perfumes I haven't smelt in a while and just loving them again. I remember getting this because it was on sale and I used it up pretty quickly too. The only downside I can think of is that it's finished. I don't think its a seasonal scent, and could be worn all year round. I'm not even going to attempt describing how it smells, but I'd go into the shop if I were you and just have a lovely sniff.
I hated hated hated this foundation. I can't even put it into words how i disliked it. I tried soo hard to get along with it because it was a gift but it was truly awful. It was soo thick and completely unnatural looking. It made your face feel heavy and I hate that in a foundation. I like it when a foundation gives good coverage but still has a light feel. So Unforch , this is a big no no. Its not available in Ireland or the UK anyway, it's from Ethopia. So it saves me having to worry how I would repurchase it, that's a plus I guess.
I know the packaging is really nothing special with these, but for some reason when these were all new I didnt want to use them. Anyway my weird OCD aside, they where a really nice trio. The "Body Lotion" was the one I loved, the shower gel was ok but nothing I need. The lotion was really light but still very mosturising which I love. the scent which is apparently "pure honey" smells nothing like honey from a jar, and its a smell that grew on me , I hated it when I first tried it, but it grew on me and now I actually miss it. For the sake of having the three beside each other, I would crazily enough purchase them all just to put them beside each other.

Overall this seemed a bit negative to me,but Hey, I'm being honest and there's a few gems in there.

Television Obsessions - Revenge Season One

Like a lot of people recently, I jumped on the bandwagon with this series. Seeing it's name pop up everywhere made me wonder ? Could this be as suspenseful as they say it is? Could this be the next Pretty Little Liars kind show ?

The answer to those questions is a resounding YES ! And to make things better it's miles better than PLL, it's almost in a league of it's own. But what is it that makes it so good?

The woman you see above, Emily/Amanda is the main reason the show is such a success, in my opinion of course. Without giving anything away, her dual personality, and I mean that literally, is always interesting to watch and you find yourself, understanding both sides no matter how twisted the might seem sometimes. All she is is a young girl who's live was ruined because of other peoples bad choices in life. You can't help but feel sorry for her.
Her relationship with Nolan Ross, is also another interesting factor. I may be the only one who sees this but I think there might be something more brewing there than just friendship, but who can tell in this show! He's so funny, and it's great to have a little sarcastic humor in a show like this to lift the tone at times.

I don't have the words to express how much I love the show. It had me hooked from episode one, and a certain twist 15 episodes later made me a complete addict.

There's so much more I'd like to add but I can't really do that without leaving a few spoilers, so I'm setting up a Tumblr account where I'll have weekly thoughts and speculations on the shows I'm watching. Most shows are on hiatus but will be back around October time.

I thought it would be a Good thing to do seeing that I watch atleast 18 shows.

Times Square (An NOTD + music post)

I think I'm going to keep this as a somewhat pattern, incl a few songs in my NOTD posts...

Any who, not the best paint job I've ever done, I was rushed but it was my first time trying this colour, I was awestruck at how glossy the finish was w/out a topcoat! Definitely going to be my go to Red colour. It's NYC's Times Square. Nifty little names for their colours.

Music ...
Since it hasn't been a long while since I've painted my nails, I listened to a lot of the same stuff, adding a few youtubers to the mix

Anything and Everything Matt Beilis , this guy never fails to amaze me. I wrote my first music post about him

Also Kate McGill who I will have a whole post about in the near future !

Current Wishlist #2

I always write Wishlist, to avoid running around not knowing what I'm looking for. Organized shopping, so I'm always happy with what I come home with and there's less impulse buying hence i save some money. Clever aaay?

First off a little Update on my last one... I'm not finished :/ But I'm getting there, I've got Ruby woo, I've located a dupe for the Urban Outfitters Satchel for €25, and all I have to do now is get the make up items, easy peasy. Unfortunately the Jeffrey Campbell's may have to wait till January :(

But hey whilst waiting for an opportunity to pick up the last few things why not add a few more to the mix ?

1)Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman
The set pictured below are from the foundation core set. It includes the four brushes and the stand/case and I've heard about these so much I just have to try them for myself. They are really affordable too at €25. You may recognize the name Samantha Chapmann as she's one of the girls on the Pixiwoo channel.

2)Penny's Zara bag dupe
I posted a blog post on this before and the bag they pictured in their a/w collection isn't actually the one I'm talking about today. It's actually just a slightly smaller version of the one pictured below in the exact same tan color for half the price. Don't mind if I do.

3) American Apparel Disco Pant Dupes
These also are not the ones I wrote a blogpost about either. I saw them in a small shop (Motive in the ilac centre) in Dublin for only €25. I almost lost consciousness. They look almost exactly alike. They downside is they may become overly popular soon, but hey I can't resist.

Lilac Nails (An NOTD and Music Post) #1

I am a super lazy person and for the past year I didn't even bother with nail polish. But I'm back into my normal swing of things, got new colours, some of which I've shared in previous posts.

I Love having my nails done but I find that it never really lasts more than a 2days without chipping. No top coat, base coat or number of colour coats prevents that for me, so instead I Paint over fake nails. They always last me just over a week and I use the ones from Primark that are only 1.50 . So Completely inexpensive!

Also inexpensive is the Nail polish Above by NYC in Lincoln Square lavender for only 1.20 :)

I Thought I'd Include the songs I've been Listening to recently, because i listen to music whilst painting and waiting for then to dry and all that ....

Backstreet Boys - Incomplete I'm a complete boyband fanatic
Florence and the Machine - Never Let me Go Florence's voice is so unique and amazing, and I've especially replaying this tune.
Jay-Z & Kanye West - N****s In Paris This song has me singing/rapping along and doing *cringe* dances in my room
Trey Songz - Heartattack Turn the Lights On ,, Ohhhhh ohhh *singing*
Justin Bieber - As long as You Love me & Love me Like You do I wasn't the biggest fan before but now I'm hooked.

London Haul incl MUA, Rimmel, Barry M etc

Hey Everyone :)
I've been back a good while and I was meant put this up earlier I Just didn't get around to it ! I have so many exciting little blog things coming up next month and I'm organising all the stuff for my Debs(Prom) so I've been a lil busy. As you can see above I really just focused in on make-up, because I thought it would work out cheaper which more often than not, was the case (Yaay).

L-R Miss Sporty in Popfiction, Barry M 47 Black,  Barry M 334 Teal, Barry M304 Mint Green,  Barry M 293 Grey, Barry M 306 Blueberry Ice-Cream
So I bought a lot of Nail products.I really wanted to try Barry M ones, so they are the first ones I picked up when I got there. The One thing I noticed about them is that  I found some colours were more sheer than others. Anyway thats nothing to fault it by, I Love their huge collection and will definetly be trying more from them. The other nail polish above is a Miss Sporty one in Popfiction I saw it in a youtube video and just had to get it, Some of the Barry M ones I got cause I saw them on a Blog/Youtube Channel aswell , I'll leave a link to which blogs or youtube channels below.
From Top, L-R MUA Heaven and Earth Palette, MUA Going For the Gold, MUA Starry Night
These have to be my favourite purchases they are the MUA Eyeshadow Palettes. I've heard so many good things about them, I knew I had to try them. They are only 2 Superdrugs in Ireland ! TWO, and their MUA collection doesnt include these :( MUA are a budget brand with their normal range prices starting at 1 Pound or 1.20 euro approx. Their Palettes though are in their Professional range for £4 ! That's just incredible, they are really pigmented and for that rice you really cant go wrong with £4! My Favourite one has to be the Going for the Gold Palette, which is a limited edition palette for the Olympics, lots of shimmery, metallic colours and golds to be seen.It will be featuring in a Post soon , so look out for that! I don't want this post to be too long, so I might do a review on some of these products next month.

                                                                      LA.Colors Liquid Make-up (Beautiful Bronze)
I have finally bought a FOUNDATION ! A little bit of background to the brand first, before I get too excited. It's called LA.Colors and its again a budget brand available in the UK, but not here in Ireland ! WHY ? Anyway, again the prices begin at an amazing £1. But with things like that you do get a bit skeptical, but I've used this twice, and so faar soo good. It has a really light feel, and gives me a light-medium coverage, which is ok, since it is summer. It gives a dewy finish so I just use a translucent powder to set it. Guess the price ? £2.99 !!! And there's a whole 33ml ! And the shade is a pretty good match. (Beautifully Bronze)
L-R Revlon Downtown, Revlon Emerald City (Matte Suede)
I went to the Poundshop to pick this up. I had read a blogpost recently about getting brand make-up in the Poundshop. I just thought this was strange, because here I know they have their own crappy make-up, but the thought of getting Rimmel or Revlon beauty products for 2 euro ? No, But in England YES! Its not that amazing it's not like a whole stand of Revlon or Rimmel make-up for a pound. It's manly little things like random nail polishes, blushes etc. This is how I got these two. Originally I wasn't too keen on the Colours but they grew on me. Ones a Matte colour which I've never had, so that's pretty cool too.
                                                                                   L-R Shade 9, Shade 31
Two more MUA products, these are just their single eyeshadows, one in a dark shimmery purple, one in a shimmery blue, both very high pigmented for again just £1!
L-R Barry M Nail Paint 293 Grey, Rimmel 60 Seconds 805 Grey Matter
I bought two grey nailpolishes, and at first I felt kind of stupid but I was happy to find they're pretty different anyway, the Barry M one is Darker than the Rimmel one, I picked up from the Poundshop. The Rimmel One is a repurchase, and I remember loving it last autumn/winter, so I'm sure I'll get plenty of use out of these too this A/W.
LA Colors Shimmering Loose Eyeshadow Black Pearl
I never had any loose eyeshadows, so I wanted to try out this one by LA.Colors. The Pigmentation is Aaaamazing,  I mean I swatched the smallest bit on the back of my hand and it was Just shocking how pigmented it was !The brush it comes with is rubbish, but for Just a pound, I'm not complaining.
                                                                               MUA Extreme Curl Mascara
This is the Extreme Curl mascara by MUA. It was only £2. I've been using this a lot already. The packaging is nice and I Love how its curved. Its really easy to get underneath your lashes and get an even application. You have to be a little caeful though, cause it can get clumpy!

This I got in the Poundshop too, is just a little treasure chest jewelry box. I'd seen it somewhere in Dublin for nearly 10euro and when i saw it for a pound I just had to pick it up. I already have a storage system for my jewelry so I'm not quite sure what I'll use it for.

I don't actually know why I got this :/ I haven't used it at all. They are surprisingly pigmented though, It's just a £1 Palette by LA. Colors. That I may never never use. Complete impulse buy *sigh*
Last Thing, (Yaay) , is this blush by Rimmel. Its a trio Blush and Highlighter, but I just use it altogether. I wanted to just try something new and I saw this. Nothing Outstanding about this, just adds a little colour to your cheeks, I definitely prefer my Catrice one, but who knows it might grow on me.

So I'm Finally back! And I Hope to keep it that way

Updates,Apologies & more

I am SOOO sorry. :( I have been back from England 2/3 weeks and no haul post is to be seen !Also my camera decided to fail me so I couldn't take pictures for a monthly favourites posts and all the other posts I've had in mind.

As if that wasn't enough, I haven't been feeling great and I've been a little worked up finding accommodation for September, planning my debs etc etc all that boring stuff.

But never fear, my haul post is almost done, all the pictures were taken before my camera stopped working. So that should be up in a few days.

Some of the things I have planned are Tags like what's in my bag etc, empties, and more of the usual stuff :)

Hopefully I should be up and running properly in 2 weeks :( so not to long.

I noticed I have just over 700 page views and that could be potentially nothing but I still appreciate it.

Thank you very much. Do leave comments as I love reading them and I will reply and be sure to subscribe :)

Happy Sunday
